UFPE opens competition with 45 vacancies for professors

The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is now accepting applications for the public competition offering 45 vacancies for professors in Higher Education and in the Basic, Technical, and Technological Education Career (EBTT). The opportunities are distributed among the Recife campuses, including the College of Application (CAp), the Vitória Academic Center (CAV), in Vitória de Santo Antão, and the Agreste Academic Center (CAA), in Caruaru. Interested candidates can apply until December 5, 2024, through the website https://sigrh.ufpe.br/ under the Competition menu. 

The competition consists of four mandatory stages: a written test, a didactic test, a defense of a memoir, and a title evaluation. Depending on the center, department, or nucleus, there may also be a didactic-practical test and/or defense of a work plan, with additional information in the supplementary announcement. For competitions aimed at the EBTT career, destined for the College of Application, the defense of the memoir will only be carried out in cases of entry for the isolated load of a free titular professor. 

The selection process exams will be applied on the UFPE campuses in the cities of Recife, Vitória de Santo Antão, and Caruaru. For self-declared black or brown candidates, the hetero-identification procedure will be carried out exclusively on the Recife Campus. 

The registration fee is R$239.00, paid via the Union Collection Guide (GRU). Salaries range from R$ 2,681.35, for a 20-hour regime with specialization, to R$ 10,481.64, for a 40-hour regime with exclusive dedication and a doctorate.
