The Strategy (ESO) committee, coordinated by Prof. Christian Daniel Falaster, will support the realization of the STR Professional Development Workshop (PDW) for South America, organized by the Strategy (STR) division of the Academy of Management (AOM). The event, which will take place online on November 26, 2024, is aimed at early-career researchers and doctoral students in South America.
The STR division focuses on the development and dissemination of knowledge related to organizational strategy, with the goal of understanding why some companies perform better over time. Discussions within the STR encompass topics such as corporate governance, strategic innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and decision-making processes that directly influence organizational success.
The workshop will be divided into two parts: the first part will feature discussion panels where experts will share their experiences on building an academic career, publishing in top-tier journals, and using data from emerging markets. The second part will offer a paper feedback session, allowing participants to receive detailed reviews from renowned academics.
Registration for the first part of the workshop are open to all interested parties, while those wishing to participate in the paper feedback session must submit an extended abstract of their research by November 17. The event will be conducted in English and offers an excellent opportunity to expand networking and enhance research skills.
