The Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD) recently launched ANPADcast, the organization’s official podcast dedicated to scientific and institutional dissemination in administration and related fields. The initiative originated from ANPAD Jovem, a program created to involve master’s and doctoral students in communication activities, events, and project development that enhance dialogue between students and the scientific community.
Launched at the ANPAD Annual Meeting – EnANPAD 2024 opening ceremony, ANPAD Jovem aims to encourage active participation by students from affiliated graduate programs by offering opportunities for hands-on experience through events and scientific outreach. It also fosters connections with experienced researchers and professionals in the field. The initiative’s main goal is to create bridges between early-career researchers and established platforms for producing and sharing scientific knowledge.
Inspired by this mission, the ANPAD Jovem volunteer team created ANPADcast, an initiative by the Office of the Director of Communication and Publications led by Prof. Patricia Guarnieri. Through monthly episodes, the podcast aims to connect, inform, and inspire the academic community by promoting the exchange of scientific, institutional, and career-related knowledge. Episodes cover a wide range of topics, including research methodologies, management trends, academic best practices, and professional experiences.
The premiere episode features a timely and highly relevant discussion for the advancement of science: “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research.” The guest is Ricardo Limongi, associate professor at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), a researcher in artificial intelligence, editor-in-chief of the Brazilian Administration Review (BAR), and head of the Research Laboratory in Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics (ADMKT). With a career marked by award-winning research at national and international events, Limongi shares reflections on both the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in contemporary scientific production.
The episode was produced by the ANPAD Jovem team, composed of Aline da Cunha Miranda, Alvimar de Sousa Bispo, Amanda da Silva Carvalho, Éder Wilian de Macedo Siqueira, Ítalo Anderson dos Santos Araújo, João Victor Ribeiro Vilanova, Lucas Gabriel de Paula Silveira, Natasha de Araujo Cezar, Pedro Henrique Alves de Assis Sales, Rayane Ferreira Braz, Samuel Santos Oliveira, and Tatiane de Sousa Serafim.
ANPADcast is available free of charge on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the ANPAD website, offering easy and flexible access to its content.
