ANPAD concludes 2025 with significant achievements across its strategic areas, reaffirming its dedication to academic excellence, scientific innovation, and the expansion of dialogue with the community of administration and related fields. The year was marked by new milestones related to the ANPAD Proficiency Test, meaningful advances in the organization’s scientific publications, and initiatives that extended its institutional reach, such as the launch of ANPADcast.
In March 2025, the ANPAD Proficiency Test introduced a recognition of excellence (Selo de Excelência) to honor examinees with outstanding performance across all evaluated areas. The award is given to those who reach Level 4 or higher in each of the four exam scales and is included in the participant’s restricted area, along with the certificate for the completed edition. This recognition can be shared on résumés and professional networks, strengthening candidates’ academic profiles. This milestone came after the implementation of the ANPAD Proficiency Test Scale, first introduced in February 2025. The new scale offers a more detailed assessment of examinees’ proficiency, allowing for qualitative insights into developed competencies and areas for improvement. Each of the four areas – Portuguese, English, Logical-Mathematical Reasoning, and Analytical Reasoning – now has its own scale, with specified proficiency levels and pedagogical descriptions to guide future learning. In the field of scientific publications, 2025 was also a year of substantial progress. RAC and BAR publicly released their guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence tools, reinforcing ANPAD’s alignment with international best practices in research and academic integrity. (access RAC)
BAR reached a historic milestone by being indexed in the Web of Science, one of the world’s most rigorous and widely recognized scientific databases. This inclusion expands the journal’s global visibility and further enhances the value of its published articles, strengthening research in administration produced in Brazil and increasing the international impact of Brazilian scientific output. SPELL, ANPAD’s platform for scientific indexing and dissemination, released the 2024 Journal Impact Indicators. This update reaffirms the platform’s commitment to the rigorous analysis of national scholarly production in public and business administration, accounting, and tourism. The publication of these indicators highlights the development of the journals and facilitates access for researchers, students, and graduate programs, while also monitoring the editorial performance of indexed publications. The results are available directly through the “Impact” menu on the SPELL website. (access SPELL)
In the area of communication, 2025 marked the launch of ANPADcast, the organization’s official podcast dedicated to scientific and institutional dissemination. The initiative emerged within the scope of ANPAD Jovem, a program designed to bring master’s and doctoral students closer to the organization’s communication activities, events, and projects. Developed by the ANPAD Jovem volunteer team and coordinated by the Office of the Director of Communication and Publications, led by Prof. Patricia Guarnieri, ANPADcast now offers monthly episodes addressing research methodologies, management trends, academic best practices, and career-related topics. Its objective is to connect, inform, and inspire the scientific community, creating new bridges between experienced researchers and students. (link to the podcast on Spotify).
These are just some of the developments that shaped ANPAD in 2025. Throughout the year, ANPAD shared numerous initiatives and updates on its social media channels and official website, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to academic quality, advancing national research, and strengthening dialogue with the scientific community.
