Volunteering at ANPAD: An Opportunity to Contribute and Strengthen the Academic Community

October – December 2024 Edition | Volume 4, Issue 4

The Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD) invites students from graduate programs in administration, accounting, and related fields to join the organization’s events and initiatives as volunteers. This is an enriching opportunity for students to actively contribute to organizing prestigious academic events, such as EnANPAD, divisional meetings, and initiatives like ANPAD Jovem, which connect researchers, professors, and students from across Brazil.

Volunteering at ANPAD offers invaluable experience by facilitating interactions with renowned experts and directly supporting the advancement of academic research and innovation in Brazil. Volunteers receive a certificate of participation, recognizing their contributions and enhancing their academic and professional profiles.

ANPAD Jovem

ANPAD Jovem is a program designed to engage and train aspiring researchers, encouraging their active involvement in ANPAD’s activities as a means of personal and professional development. Through thoughtfully crafted initiatives, ANPAD Jovem seeks to integrate students into academic life and familiarize them with the organization’s operations.

Details about registration for ANPAD Jovem activities will be announced soon.

How to Participate in Events

To apply for a volunteer position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate program in management, accounting, or related fields, whether or not affiliated with ANPAD.
  • Commit to attending training sessions and fulfilling the activities assigned by the event coordinator.

It is important to note that if a volunteer is also the author of a paper submitted to the event, there must be a paying co-author to ensure the paper’s inclusion in the program.

Volunteering positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to students from the host institution. Please note that registering as a volunteer does not automatically grant an exemption from the event participation fee. Only selected candidates will be eligible for this benefit, which will be confirmed once the results are announced.

Divisional Conferences 2025

For the 2025 Divisional Conferences, scheduled to take place at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) in Goiânia, GO, from June 11 to 13, volunteer registration will be open from May 5, 2025, to May 20, 2025. Registration will be completed through an online form available on the ANPAD website, accompanied by a declaration of student affiliation.
