In the last quarter, we invested in new tools for the websites of BAR – Brazilian Administration Review and RAC – Journal of Contemporary Administration. These developments sought to help readers and academics to expand their research results.
For RAC’s website, a new advanced search tool was implemented, accessed through a button on the top menu. The advanced search tool offers more filters to refine searches in the journal’s database, which counts on articles and other documents published over the past 25 years. Some examples of the new tool’s resources for readers and researchers:
- Teaching cases can be filtered using the descriptors “discipline,” “subject,” “industry,” and “geography”;
- It is possible to search terms that appear specifically in the abstract of the scholarly works;
- It is possible to search terms that appear in the list of keywords of the published research works;
- There are filters to search by edition and by section (according to the type of the scholarly work);
- Sort the display of results by title, section, or edition.
Thus, professors and students have a robust tool to help them find the published teaching cases that best suit their goals.
Finally, both journals’ websites are now equipped with the TrendMD tool, a widget displayed on a side panel during the visualization of an article, recommending similar content. Readers can use the tool to access a series of related articles that have been published both in ANPAD journals and in other global journals. Likewise, this resource allows our journals to be discovered and accessed by new readers, increasing the journals’ reach. Thus, we hope to see an increase in the citations and the number of submissions received.
We invite everyone to access and use both tools!
