Over five decades, the Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD) has been built by people: professors who devoted part of their careers to the organization as directors, coordinators, editors, researchers, and partners, and who, at different times, helped shape it into what it is today.
To mark the organization’s 50th anniversary, ANPAD created the ANPAD 50 Years Medal as a tribute to those who have been part of its history. The medals were presented during the opening ceremony of EnANPAD 2026 in Fortaleza on September 23rd, 2026.
The tribute brought together those who were able to attend that evening. It also serves as recognition of everyone who, at various points, contributed to ANPAD’s journey, including those who could not be there.
ANPAD Lifetime Academic Achievement Award
The first recipients of the ANPAD 50 Years Medal were the honorees of the 2026 ANPAD Lifetime Academic Achievement Award, who received a plaque and a medal. The award recognizes professors whose contributions to management research and to ANPAD have left a mark on the organization’s history:

Founding programs
ANPAD’s history is also tied to the graduate programs that helped found it. As part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations, the 10 founding programs received a special tribute:

The ANPAD 50 Years Medal honors the contributions of the people and institutions that have been part of the organization’s journey over five decades. The tributes held during EnANPAD 2026 are part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations and recognize the many ways people have helped build the Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD).
To all our honorees, we extend our recognition and gratitude. ANPAD’s history is, above all, the story of the people who chose to build it.
