Assembly approves accounts with significant surplus and focus on sustainability
During the assembly, Treasurer and Administrative Director Professor Marco Aurélio Marques Ferreira presented the 2024 financial statements, highlighting a 13% increase in net operating revenue and a reduction in general expenses. Although the operating result before financial income remains negative, the year closed with a net surplus of more than 260%. Sustainability indicators were also presented, showing that ANPAD would be able to maintain its activities for up to 6.6 years under an intermediate scenario and for 2.5 years even under a pessimistic scenario. The accounts were reviewed by the Fiscal Committee and approved unanimously.
Presentation of 2025 planning and updated annual fees for 2026
The financial (or budget) plan for 2025 was presented, maintaining the medium-term strategy focused on restoring ANPAD’s financial health. The Assembly approved, by a qualified majority, the update of the annual fee amounts for 2026, with a 5.48% adjustment based on the accumulated IPCA (Brazilian Consumer Price Index). The annual fee for the Associate Member category, which was stipulated in the bylaws but had not yet been set, was also defined.
UNIT approved as new Associate Member
Tiradentes University (UNIT) was approved as an Associate Member of ANPAD. The institution will host EnANPAD 2025 and, in return for this institutional partnership, will receive two annual Associate Member fees at no cost. UNIT has a strong presence in Brazil’s Northeast region and offers graduate programs in areas other than Administration.
