EnANPAD Profissional marked a new chapter in the history of events promoted by ANPAD, standing out for its innovative proposal and the pursuit of practical and efficient solutions in the field of Administration and related areas. Held on September 17, 2024, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Florianópolis, the meeting introduced a notable feature that distinguished it from traditional EnANPAD events: the submission of Technical-Technological Products (PTTs).
PTTs, as defined by the DAV/CAPES GT report, are tangible and innovative results that apply new scientific and technical knowledge. In the context of EnANPAD Profissional, these products propose practical and innovative solutions for the administration field and related areas, strengthening the bridge between academic research and market needs.
The presentations followed a dynamic format with short and objective pitches. Each participant had up to five minutes to present their PTT. The pitch structure was carefully designed to maximize communication impact and was divided into an introduction, development, and conclusion. During the development phase, presenters detailed the four evaluation criteria: innovation, complexity, applicability, and impact of the PTT. This allowed the audience to understand the technical potential of the product and its practical relevance to its intended environment.
One of the event’s highlights was the lecture by Daniel Leipnitz, president of the Brazil-Israel Chamber of Santa Catarina and advisor to the Santa Catarina Technology Association (ACATE), who discussed the innovation ecosystem. Leipnitz emphasized the importance of collaboration among different actors and creating environments that favor innovation, a topic especially relevant in the context of EnANPAD Profissional.
The event also promoted a debate on the strategic connection between universities and the market, featuring renowned experts such as João Calixto (CIEnP/UFSC), Luiz Salomão (CoCreation Lab/UFSC), Sebastião Nau (WEG), and Luciana Hashiba (FGV). This discussion reinforced the importance of interaction between academia and industry to drive the development of innovative and applicable solutions.
In a discussion about careers, Gabriel Klein Lunkes, an innovation specialist at IEL/SC, and Daniel Lopes from SEBRAE/SC shared their insights on opportunities for master’s and doctoral graduates in the job market, highlighting how academic knowledge can be a competitive advantage for companies seeking innovation.
Another highlight was the lecture by Daniela Sales Valverde, a scientist at Grupo Boticário, who explored the role of collaborative research between universities and companies in accelerating innovation in the cosmetics industry. Finally, Luiz E. Mello from the D’Or Institute of Research and Education (IDOR) reflected on the future of collaborative innovation, particularly in molecular biology.
The in-person format of the event was a crucial factor in the success of EnANPAD Profissional. It promoted rich interaction between participants and speakers and created an environment conducive to the exchange of experiences and ideas. This closeness among the various participants reinforced the event’s academic and professional relevance, as a platform for developing new partnerships and innovations.
One of the most anticipated moments was the award for Best PTT, granted to the work “The Use of Data in the Management of Ombudsmen,” presented by Luana da Silva Alves, Sandro Luis Freire de Castro Silva, and Saulo Barbará de Oliveira. The project’s innovation and applicability secured its recognition as one of the most innovative at the event.
ANPAD would like to thank all participants of EnANPAD Profissional 2024, whose presence and contributions were essential to the event’s success. We are excited about the next edition, scheduled for 2025, which will continue our commitment to innovation. We hope to see all of you there to explore new practical and technological solutions in the administration field!
