With the theme “Rethinking the Role of Organizations in a World of Geopolitical Tensions, Social Inequalities, and Environmental Crisis,” the EnANPAD pre-event was held on September 10 and 11, 2024. This initiative, which has become a tradition since 2021, aims to introduce the public to the main event and democratize participation. The pre-event was broadcast online, free of charge, on ANPAD’s YouTube channel and via Zoom, enabling real-time interaction.
During the two days of activities, several panels and workshops addressed fundamental issues for research and teaching in the field of Administration. The opening session featured contributions from Professor Susana Carla Farias Pereira, Scientific Director of ANPAD, and Professor Andrea Leite Rodrigues, Coordinator of the pre-event activities.
One of the main highlights was the workshop entitled “Decolonizing Research and Teaching in Management in Brazil,” led by Marlei Pozzebon from HEC Montreal and FGV EAESP. The workshop stimulated an open discussion on the decolonization of research and teaching in management, creating a space conducive to exchanging experiences and critical reflection.
The event also included two other important panels: “Developing connections for engagement and action: how do we create a collaborative agenda for sustainable consumption and sustainable production research?” proposed by Ana Paula Ferreira Alves from IFRS, and “Sustainability, sustainable universities, and university planning,” presented by Denize Grzybovski.
As part of the program, the Doctoral Consortium stood out by offering a valuable platform for doctoral students and researchers in advanced stages. Over the course of two days, 49 topics related to ANPAD’s academic divisions were discussed, promoting interdisciplinary interaction and the sharing of research methodologies.
For those who were unable to attend the live activities, recordings of the pre-event broadcasts are available on ANPAD’s YouTube channel. We recommend that readers watch them and prepare to actively participate in the next editions of EnANPAD, which present relevant opportunities for academic and professional development. The topics discussed are timeless and of great importance, providing an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge of current issues that impact the field.
