Nominations, including self-nominations, may be submitted until December 1st, 2025.

The awards celebrate academic excellence and the social impact of management knowledge in four categories:

  • IFSAM Award for Excellence in Societally Relevant Management Scholarship: This award encourages scholars to prioritize research which serves society and honours published scholarly work that addresses societal challenges at local and/or global levels and contributes to societal wellbeing.
  • IFSAM Award for Excellence in Indigenous Management Scholarship: This scholarship aims to encourage, recognize, and celebrate outstanding indigenous research as well as diverse and contextualized scholarship in business and management (including all subfields).
  • IFSAM Award for Excellence and Innovation in Management Pedagogy: The award identifies, showcases, and recognizes outstanding and impactful pedagogy in business and management (including all subfields) from around the world. It honors individuals or teams that demonstrate a sustained commitment to teaching innovation.
  • IFSAM Award for Exceptional Service to the Management Field Worldwide: Recognizes significant and enduring service to the management scholarly community worldwide. The award may be bestowed on a person, team, or organization.

Nominations must include the required materials for each category, as detail in the guidelines available on the IFSAM website. The award winners will be announced in the spring of 2026 through the Federation’s official channels.

IFSAM emphasizes that documents may be submitted in languages other than English, provided that they are accompanied by an English translation, including those generated through automated translation tools.

Member associations and their affiliates are invited to take an active part in the process by nominating researchers and professionals whose work has meaningfully advanced the field of management.
