South American Conference on Environmental Accounting reaches its 9th edition debating the challenges of the climate emergency

From August 24th to 27th, 2025, the city of Fortaleza (CE), Brazil, will host the 9th South American Conference on Environmental Accounting (CSCA). Recognized for its collaborative and inclusive environment, the conference brings together researchers, students, and professionals engaged in discussions on the social and environmental impacts of accounting. 

With the theme “Accounting and Innovation: Challenges of the Climate Emergency”, the 2025 edition reaffirms the event’s commitment to addressing contemporary socio-environmental challenges through interdisciplinary and innovative approaches. 

The program includes the presentation of academic papers across a wide range of topics in environmental and social accounting, such as managerial accounting, public sector, human rights, climate change, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, and other contemporary themes. The event also values methodological diversity and encourages reflections that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. 

Paper submissions are open until April 30th, 2025. Registrations can be made in two periods: the first deadline is June 30th, and the second is August 15th. The results of the paper evaluations will be announced on June 2nd, 2025.
