Applications open for the Academic Writing Workshop

Publishing articles in scientific journals is one of the best ways to ensure visibility for your work. To secure your spot among the pages of these journals, it is essential to have good academic writing skills and understand the publication process. With this in mind, ANPAD, in partnership with the Public Management Research Association (PMRA) will be hosting an Academic Writing Workshop on September 27 and 28 as part of the EnANPAD program. The workshop iaims to discuss the process of writing an academic article, as well as the review and publication process. It will also offer group sessions on the review process and individualized feedback to enhance the article. Only sixteen places will be available, filled according to the quality of the applicant’s application. Registration is now open and can be done exclusively online until August 14th.

The workshop will be a great time to:

Gain insights into academic writing from researchers and journal editors;
Understand the review process and how to deal with it;
Build your network with researchers and other academics in the field;
Develop ideas on how to improve your manuscript
Submitting your manuscript
Work on your manuscript and receive feedback from other participants and journal editors.

The Academic Writing Workshop will be delivered by Prof. Alketa Peci, President-elect of ANPAD, and feature renowned speakers from different parts of the world:

Kelly Leroux (University of Illinois, United States of America);
Mary Feeney (Arizona State University, United States of America);
Claudia N. Avellaneda (Indiana University, United States of America) ;
Ole Petersen (Roskilde University, Denmark);
Filipe Sobral (FGV Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil);
Gustavo Tavares (Insper, São Paulo, Brazil).
