During the week of December 7th–10th, the President-Elect of ANPAD – Brazilian Academy of Management, Professor Emílio José Montero Arruda Filho, was in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, carrying out an institutional agenda at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), participating in several academic and science communication activities.
On December 8th, Professor Emílio Arruda took part in an interview on UFRN University Radio, alongside Professor Israel Felipe, Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Management at the institution. The discussion addressed issues related to the advancement of the field of Management in Brazil and the role of stricto sensu graduate programs in academic education and societal development, anticipating themes that would be further explored in the lecture delivered the following day.

Also on December 8th, the ANPAD President-Elect met with Professor José Daniel Diniz de Melo, Rector of UFRN, in an institutional meeting aimed at strengthening dialogue between the Association and the University. On the same day, he also gave an interview to TV UFRN, broadening the dissemination of discussions on the contribution of graduate programs in Management to innovation and social impact.

On December 9th, at 8:00 a.m., Professor Emílio Arruda delivered the lecture entitled “Advancement of the Field of Management in Brazil and the Impact of Graduate Programs on Society”, held at Auditorium 2, NEPSA 2. The presentation highlighted how master’s and doctoral programs contribute to knowledge generation, the promotion of innovation, and the strengthening of social development, emphasizing graduate education as a strategic axis for the scientific and professional growth of the field in Brazil.
This agenda reinforces ANPAD’s commitment to the appreciation of graduate education, institutional dialogue, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge, while strengthening ties with graduate programs and higher education institutions across different regions of Brazil.
