On November 14, the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Academy of Management (ANPAD) met with Professors Mónica Sieben and Gisela Veritier, representatives of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA), to formalize the resumption of a strategic partnership. The meeting was attended by ANPAD President-Elect, Professor Emílio José Montero Arruda Filho, along with board members: Professor Patrícia Guarnieri, Director of Communication and Publications; Professor Susana Carla Farias Pereira, Scientific Director; and Professor Marco Aurélio Marques Ferreira, Treasure and Administrative Director. Also present were ANPAD Project Manager, Kler Godoy, and Professor Marcelo Bispo, a faculty member and researcher at UFPB.
The partnership will begin with the expansion of SPELL – Scientific Periodicals Electronic Library, which will now include Latin American journals in its database. Created in 2012, SPELL is a free electronic library promoted and maintained by ANPAD, dedicated to indexing scientific journals in the fields of Management, Accounting, and Tourism, providing metrics such as citation indexes and impact factors. This expansion aims to strengthen the dissemination of regional scientific production and promote greater integration among authors, editors, and academic institutions across Latin America.
In addition to SPELL’s expansion, the agreement between ANPAD and CLADEA includes plans for joint initiatives such as webinars, conferences, shared academic spaces, and integrated activities. This renewed collaboration represents a significant step towards the internationalization of ANPAD’s activities, reaffirming its commitment to advancing Brazilian and Latin American science.
