The 48th ANPAD Annual Meeting – EnANPAD 2024 – took place from September 16 to 18, 2024, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis. The event gathered over 1,500 participants, including academics, researchers, and professionals in the field of Administration, creating an environment conducive to the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
This year’s central theme was “Rethinking the Role of Organizations in a World of Geopolitical Tensions, Social Inequalities, and Environmental Crisis.” The discussions addressed the need for organizations to adapt to new dynamics, given the institutional and social pressures that demand the formulation of effective public policies and strategies. The event encouraged participation from representatives of various sectors, expanding the conversation beyond the academic environment.
The EnANPAD 2024 program included 307 paper presentation sessions, with a total of 2,144 papers submitted, of which 1,169 were presented. The event featured 12 international speakers who enriched the discussions with their perspectives and experiences:
The opening meet and greet, held on September 16 in the UFSC Events Center, was the moment when the awards were presented, including the Clóvis L. Machado-da-Silva Award, given to the best research work of the event. Ligia de Azevedo Rezende and Fernando Deodato Domingos received the award for their study entitled “Bearing the burden: the effects of corporate social irresponsibility on employees.” In addition, the best works of each division and the best reviewers of ANPAD journals were honored. A new feature of this edition was the debut of EnANPAD Profissional, which introduced an innovative format for practical discussions and updates on contemporary management. The presentations focused on Technical-Technological Products (PTTs) and adopted a more dynamic and innovative format, reflecting ANPAD’s commitment to applied scientific practice.
We thank all the participants, speakers, and organizers who made EnANPAD 2024 a success. We look forward to the next edition, which promises to offer even more innovations and learning opportunities. EnANPAD 2025 is already in the planning stages and will present new challenges and relevant discussions for the academic community.
